The Wasp Opens 8th May at Southwark!

Greenwich Theatre’s production of The Wasp by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm opens this Friday, 8th May at the Southwark Playhouse!

This gripping two hander play is directed by James Haddrell and stars Cassandra Hercules and Serin Ibrahim.

Running at Southwark Playhouse until 30th May, this production will be remounted at Greenwich Theatre from the 4th to the 12th September.

First staged at Trafalgar Studios in 2015 and adapted into a feature film released in 2024, The Wasp is a twisting electric thriller that asks how far beyond the playground we carry our childhood experiences - and to what lengths some people are willing to go in order to come to terms with them.

Heather and Carla haven’t seen each other since school. Their lives have taken very different paths – Carla lives a hand-to-mouth existence while Heather has a high-flying career, husband and a beautiful home. And yet, here they are in a café having tea and making awkward conversation. That is until Heather presents Carla with a bag containing a significant amount of cash and an unexpected proposition…
