SUHAYLA EL-BUSHRA
Suhayla El-Bushra is a screenwriter and playwright. Her feature film BRIDES (Neon Films/BFI) was released in the UK in 2025 after premiering at the Sundance Film Festival. She was a lead writer and executive producer on ACKLEY BRIDGE (C4/ The Forge) and has also written for BECOMING ELIZABETH (Starz/The Forge) and HOLLYOAKS (C4). Theatre productions include THE ENORMOUS CROCODILE (UK & US tour), THE LONG SONG (Chichester Festival Theatre) and THE SUICIDE (National Theatre). She is currently developing TV shows with Element Pictures/C4, Avalon Productions, Kindle/CBBC and a new feature film with Neon Films.
