REBECCA JADE HAMMOND
Rebecca is a Welsh writer and actor and the Artistic Director of Welsh theatre producer Chippy Lane Productions. Her play Hot Chicks ran in 2025 at The Sherman Theatre Cardiff and Swansea Grand to great acclaim. Prior to that her play Right Where We Left Us was produced at Chapter Arts, Cardiff in Autumn 2022. Both plays are published by Methuen Drama.
Rebecca’s previous theatre commissions include Mad Margot for Sherman Theatre and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (produced at RWCMD and The Yard 2023) and Welcome To Bettyland for LAMDA in 2024. Rebecca is working on ideas for television, including a pilot script about adult cheerleading with actress Tanya Reynolds. She participated in the Faber Academy and has recently completed her first novel. She is currently under commission for Theatr Clwyd and writing a further play for RWCMD.
As an actor, Rebecca has appeared in several big television series including BAFTA Cymru-nominated comedy The Tuckers (BBC), Silent Witness (BBC) and Trollied (Sky One).
