COVEN Cast Announced!
The cast of COVEN, a new musical set during England’s most notorious witch trials, has just been announced!
With the book by Haworth client Rebecca Brewer and music and lyrics by Rebecca Brewer and Daisy Chute, the production will run at the Kiln Theatre from 31 October to 20 December.
Beginning in 1612 in Pendle, Lancashire, Coven follows 9-year-old Jennet who accuses her own family of witchcraft. 21 years later, she finds herself imprisoned, surrounded by the most feared women in town. As the accuser becomes the accused, Jennet must confront a 250-year legacy of witchcraft and the dark secrets of her own past. As she listens to the shocking stories of the women around her, Jennet’s faith begins to crumble.
Directed by Miranda Cromwell, the cast includes Gabrielle Brooks as Jennet, Jacinta Whyte as Maggie, Lauryn Redding as Rose, Allyson Ava-Brown as Nell/Elizabeth, Shiloh Coke as Frances/Alizon, Penny Layden as Martha/Judge, and Diana Vickers as Edmund/Covell and more!
