LAURENCE CLARK
Laurence Clark is known for sharp, inclusive comedy and distinctive character-driven drama. After years performing stand-up across the UK, he has built an impressive television writing career with credits for CBBC, including Gifted, Odd Squad, Andy and the Band and the Dave comedy Perfect, praised by The Guardian as “worthy of a full series”. He is also a leading voice on disability representation in television, advising on productions for the BBC, HBO and Channel 4, while working with BAFTA award-winning TripleC DANC and the TV Access Project. His debut play, Cured tours nationally in 2026 following support from Unlimited and the National Theatre Generate programme. His spec pilot script Wheeling and Dealing was in development with Chapter One and he also took part in a writers room for a new drama series with Pulse Films.
Laurence has an MA in Disability Studies and a PhD in Molecular Biology/Computing. He was born in Manchester but is destined to live in Liverpool with his wife and two children forever because he married a Scouser!
