FELIPE BUSTOS SIERRA

Felipe Bustos Sierra is a Chilean-Belgian film director and producer based in Scotland.  His debut feature-length documentary, NAE PASARAN (2018), won the Best Feature award at the 2018 BAFTA Scotland Awards where Bustos Sierra was also nominated for Best Director (Factual).  The film received a BIFA nomination for Best Documentary. Nae Pasaran went on to become the most successful Scottish documentary in UK cinemas at the time of release.  A public monument commemorating the events of the film was placed in East Kilbride subsequently. His second feature, EVERYBODY TO KENMURE STREET starring Emma Thompson and Kate Dickie, had its world premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and won the Special Jury Award for Civil Resistance. The film also opened the 2026 Glasgow Film Festival and was released in cinemas in March 2026 across the UK and the US, produced by Barry Crerar, Screen Scotland and EP’d by Emma Thompson and Hugh Bonneville.  Bustos Sierra is also the founder and creative director of Debasers Filums, an independent film company based in Edinburgh.
